Dr Catriona Amberton

Catriona is an HCPC- and BPS-registered psychologist with 14 years of NHS experience, specialising in work with children, adolescents, parents, and families. She holds a doctorate and a Masters in Clinical Forensic Psychology, and undertakes expert witness work for the courts. Catriona has particular expertise in neurodivergence, providing Autism and ADHD assessments and support, and serves as team lead for the West Essex Community Paediatrics Autism diagnostic pathway.

Julie Hutchings

Julie is a Neurodevelopmental Specialist Nurse with over 15 years’ experience supporting individuals with ADHD and autism. She is a Registered General Nurse with a degree in Specialist Community Nursing and Public Health Nursing, and is also an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber.

Julie currently works within the NHS, providing evidence-based ADHD and autism assessments and care in line with NICE guidance. She is trained and experienced in using ADOS as part of multidisciplinary autism assessments, and is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care, ensuring that individuals and families feel listened to, supported, and understood throughout their assessment journey.

Rebecca Picton

Rebecca Picton

Rebecca is a passionate and compassionate Registered General Nurse with over 20 years’ experience supporting adults and young people. Following her SCPHN qualification in school nursing, she has spent more than 15 years promoting the health and well-being of children and families in school and public health settings.

For the past six years, Rebecca has specialised as a Neurodevelopmental Specialist Nurse, focusing on Autism and ADHD. She is committed to a person-centred approach, working closely with children, families, and schools to develop tailored support frameworks. She uses a range of evidence-based tools, including ADOS-2 and structured school observations, to assess neurodevelopmental needs and ensure children receive the care and support they require both at home and in school.
